=> ..... in english.

A new post sooner as i thought....

Wanted to share some job related news with anyone who reads this.
As you know i work at Schiphol Airport as a ramp agent.
Last monday i passed the written test and practical exam for my 'V.D.G.S.' test.

V.D.G.S. stands for : Visual Docking Guidance System.
The visual docking guidance system (VDGS) guides the pilot during the aircraft's final docking procedure (park the aircraft on it's stand at the airport).

Found a website with more detailed info: "English Airport Gate Guidance Explained"

Schiphol operates with three (four) systems:
1-Agnis Papa 2-Safegate 3a-safedock (digital) 3b-Safedock (analog)

And as of last monday, i'm autorized to work with these systems.
Quite a kick to "help" the pilot parking a Boeing 747 on stand.....

Bye, Chris.
